Laura Marie Somweber | Interior Design & Architecture

"Design is so simple. That's why it's so complicated."
I am a passionate interior designer from Austria,
currently based in Frankfurt on the Main, Germany.

I consider the relationship between the atmosphere of a room and its interior design is an indispensable aspect that requires careful consideration - I have always placed a high value on paying attention to detail, in my opinion, this is an essential component for bringing to life not only my own imaginative concepts but also the desires of my clients.

Through growing up in a family of architects, artists and athletes, my passion for design and the ambition within doing what I love was practically handed down to me.

After finishing high school with an artistic focus in Graz,
I relocated to the UK to improve my English by working as an
Au-pair.

Finishing my BSc at the Technical University in Graz in 2016,
I had the chance to work in Berlin for renowned interior architect Charlotte Wiessner within her company CARLO Berlin as an intern.
Going back to my hometown Graz, working as an interior designer for 4 years, gaining experiences working in a team,
with clients as well as working by myself- creating concepts and developing a style of my own.

To complete my academic education, I finished a
2-year MA program in Interior Architecture in Maastricht, Netherlands in 2022.
The artistic and philosophical approach within the program gave me the chance to extend my understanding of interior design and architecture.

I consider myself an ambitious person -
creative and open-minded.

Through my experiences working in various companies,
I developed the skills and qualities necessary to succeed in a team-oriented environment while also being able to take on projects and tasks independently. I am excited to continue building upon these experiences and skills in a new role.
