The souterrain of Rudolf Schwarz' St. Fronleichnams Church in Aachen as a space for people to sit, have a bowl of soup and take a moment to recharge,

Seeing it as a place that is inspired by the upstairs. 
translating the upstairs, downstairs.
creating a place that has a spirit and a soul - a reanimated place. 

Using the dominating elements upstairs to create a simple concept that allows people to sit down and have their soup without the need to connect but with the option to do so. 

A bench, a bowl and the warmth of the soup.
